What 37 Days knows about you, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: without signing in, almost nothing; if you sign in, your Minecraft or Discord account, the names you follow and where to write to you.

Who is responsible

Whoever runs 37 Days is the controller of the data described here. You can write to us at [email protected].

If you just visit

  • Protection against automated collection. The server counts recent requests per network address for ten minutes, in memory, and logs a scrambled form of the address that cannot be turned back into it. Before the list is shown your browser does a short calculation; nothing about you is sent with it.
  • Searches. We count how many times each name is searched in a month and show that number. We keep the name and the count, not who searched. A name you search that we do not know is looked up at Mojang and kept.
  • This browser. Your answer to the cookie banner and, if you signed in, your account's name and identifier are remembered in your browser so the menu can show them. They stay on your device.

If you sign in to follow names

We keep, for as long as your account exists:

  • The UUID and name of your Minecraft account, or the ID and display name of your Discord account, whichever you sign in with.
  • The names you follow and what we have told you about them.
  • The Discord username or ID, or the e-mail address, you ask to be told at.
  • The language you use and when you last signed in.

Signing in goes through our own sign-in server, which keeps a record of your account (its identifier at Microsoft or Discord and the tokens they issue) for that purpose. With Discord, its token is only used to learn who you are, and we tell you about your names there by direct message. A cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days.

What we use it for

  • To tell you about the names you follow. This is the service you ask for when you sign in.
  • To keep the site working and protect it from abuse.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Who else receives data

  • Microsoft or Discord: the sign-in happens at the one you choose.
  • Discord or your e-mail provider, when we send you a notice there.
  • mc-heads.net and api.capes.dev: your browser asks them for the skins and capes shown on the site, so they see your address and the name or account in question.
  • Google: the typefaces come from Google Fonts. If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics and Tag Manager set cookies and receive your address and the pages you open; if you reject it, they store nothing.
  • Adsterra shows the ads: your browser loads them from its servers, so it receives your address and the page they appear on, and it may set its own cookies.
  • Google AdSense also shows ads. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites; Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners do so. You can turn personalised ads off in Google's Ads Settings, and other vendors' at aboutads.info. How Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Our hosting provider, where the site and its database run.

Some of these companies are outside the European Economic Area and process data under their own safeguards.

How long

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Request counts last ten minutes; server logs, a few weeks. Search counts and the public information about names (whether a name is taken, the Minecraft account that has it, its renames) are not about you as a visitor and are kept indefinitely.

Your rights

You can see and change your data on the Watch page, and Delete my account removes everything this site keeps about you at once. You can also withdraw our access from your Microsoft or Discord account, under the apps you have given access to. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data and to take it with you; write to us to exercise them. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD, aepd.es) or to the one of your country.

Changes

If this statement changes, the date at the top changes with it. See also our terms of service.
